Whereas I wouldn't call myself a pacifist-
ReplyDeleteI do deeply believe in jesus' radical message of non-violence.
Whereas I don't believe in the Just war theory
I do deeply believe in the idea of just peacemaking
Whereas I don't believe in being passive
I do believe in action- speaking and moving on behalf of the oppressed.
I would highly recommend Walter Wink's book "powers that Be." It helped me take a theological look into some of the oppressive systems present in the world (including systems of violence)
