"In time of war, you often hear leaders-Christian, Jewish, and Muslim-saying, 'God is on our side.' But that isn't true. In war, God is on the side of refugees, widows, and orphans."

- "90 Minutes in Heaven"
- "The Old Man and the Sea"
Thats a good quote. But as you know deep down in your heart...that is not true. He is on America's side. It's obvious. WW2 - Victory, Vietnam - Flawless Victory, Iraq - Not technically a war. Yet, would we be doing so well there is he wasn't on our side. Heck no. We are a bulletproof nation.
ReplyDeleteIf we were all doing the work of Greg Mortenson, what a different and better world this would be.
ReplyDeleteAs to Jerry's comment, here is a quote from Jonathan Swift:
We have just enough religion to make us hate,
but not enough to make us love one another.
It is his kind of thinking, that one group is better than another that ultimately support war rather than cooperation.
If we all could truly come to know that every single being alive on our planet is a belove child of God!
Take care Caitlin,
F. Michael Montgomery
